I wanted to write this book for previous versions of me and other people I have met over the years, who had questions about well-being and / or data that they found hard to find answers to, and to understand.
I wanted to write a book to help people answer questions they have, when the answers they need aren’t easily available to them, because: they’re not academics, they are academics, but in a different field, their students, or just anyone who didn’t know where to start.
And I was inspired by this beautiful book website by Richard Freeman called Doing Politics. Although my book is Open Access, I wanted to see if the content could be more accessible through digital publishing. It also gives the book a chance to evolve – and grow in different directions.
